LENGTH OF TREATMENT

How long a course of orthodontic treatment lasts depends on several factors, the most important of which are the number of anomalies requiring correction, the objectives set at the beginning of treatment, in addition to the age and level of motivation of the patient, and patient cooperation. (Motivation is a resource that does not regenerate! To avoid using up motivation prematurely, you are advised to see an orthodontic specialist right at the start of the orthodontic process).

An orthodontic treatment can last anywhere between 6-36 months.

How long the treatment will last is reassessed as successive stages in the treatment progress. The duration is not determined, however, by the material and the techniques used, nor by the number of appointments the patient attends.
